Back in 1921, the Adelaide City Council approved the planting of 44 Norfolk Island Pines along Lefevre Road, at a cost of 70 pounds.

This original planting has since been maintained with additional plantings and the replacement of dead or unhealthy trees. You can see that the trees on the other side of the road (in Park 4) are much taller than the trees on this side in Park 5. This means that most of the original 1920s trees on this side of the road would have died and been replaced more recently.
